Job description
Waha Expo is seeking a reliable, organized, and proactive Human Resources Officer to join our growing team. This role is essential for supporting our people operations, strengthening internal processes, and contributing to a positive and professional work environment.
The ideal candidate is someone with solid HR understanding, strong communication skills, and at least basic familiarity with Odoo HR or ERP systems. You don’t need to be an expert — just comfortable learning and using the system.
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage end‑to‑end recruitment processes (job postings, screening, interviews, offers).
- Prepare onboarding plans and ensure smooth integration for new employees.
- Maintain job descriptions and update the careers page as needed.
Employee Relations
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions and HR support.
- Help maintain a positive workplace culture aligned with Waha Expo’s values.
- Assist with conflict resolution and internal communication.
HR Administration
- Maintain accurate employee records (contracts, attendance, evaluations, etc.).
- Track leave balances, attendance logs, and compliance documents.
- Assist in preparing reports for management.
Performance & Development
- Support employee evaluations and KPI processes.
- Assist in coordinating trainings, workshops, and development programs.
Policies & Compliance
- Ensure HR practices follow Libyan labor laws and internal policies.
- Help develop or update internal HR policies and procedures.
Odoo & Digital Systems
- Use Odoo HR modules for employee records, leave management, attendance, and recruitment.
- Collaborate with the IT/Admin team to improve HR workflows in Odoo.
- Provide basic support to staff on Odoo HR features when needed

Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of HR experience (HR assistant, HR officer, or similar).
- Experience in events or exhibition companies is a plus.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good organizational and time‑management abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Basic knowledge of Odoo HR, or experience with any ERP HR system.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
