35+ years of a remarkable journey
Al Waha Expo was founded in 1992 in Tripoli as a specialized organizer of exhibitions, conferences, national pavilions, trade missions, and public‑relations services, steadily building a reputation for professionalism and adherence to international standards. Throughout the 2000s, the company rapidly expanded its services to include exhibition stand design, logistical support, furniture rental, branding campaigns, corporate events, and large public ceremonies, marking a major transformation into a full‑service events and business‑solutions provider. A key milestone came in 2006 with the launch of the Libyan Aviation Exhibition (LAVEX) at Mitiga Air Base, followed by international expansion in 2008 through new offices in Madrid and Dubai, strengthening its role as a bridge between Libyan and global markets. Today, Al Waha Expo stands as the founder and official organizer of TAQNYA Expo—Libya’s leading technology event—and continues to deliver major exhibitions across sectors such as healthcare, oil and gas, education, telecommunications, and agriculture, maintaining its position as one of Libya’s most trusted and experienced event‑management companies.
1992
Al Waha Expo (واحة للمعارض) was established in Tripoli, Libya. It began organizing exhibitions, conferences, national pavilions, trade missions, and PR services for international clients.
2000s
Rapidly broadened its service offerings to include exhibition stand design, logistical support, furniture rental, branding rollouts, roadshows, corporate events, press conferences, product launches, award ceremonies, fashion shows, film festivals, and more
2006
Waha Launched the Libyan Aviation Exhibition (LAVEX) at Tripoli’s Mitiga (formerly Wheelus) Air Base, marking its first foray into large-scale aviation trade shows
2008
Established strategic offices in Madrid and Dubai, positioning itself as a bridge between Libyan opportunities and international markets, while complying with Libyan Chamber of Commerce and Tripoli International Fair standards
2025
Waha hosted Taqnyaexpo 2025 edition is slated for 16–19 December, promoting smart cities, AI, cybersecurity, FinTech, and hosting 30+ workshops with over 300+ exhibitors and 50,000+ attendees.
